Dubai Afrika has launched a new project tagged Dubai Group Tour, with Super Eagles forward, Odion Ighalo as Brand Ambassador. According to the Creative Director of the company, Tolulope Adesanmi, the tour is of two parts, a six-day Dubai tour, and one in Nigeria. The Dubai leg will hold from December 4-9.

The company also unveiled Ighalo as the Headliner and Celebrity tour guide for the event. Speaking at the occasion, Ighalo said the tour would not only benefit the country, it will also help charity homes in a big way. Ighalo promised to finalize plans for the launch of his orphanage home in December, just as he spoke of his passion for helping the sick and less privileged in the society.

“I am happy and proud to be part of this tour. It is going to be fun and I am promising everyone that goes on this trip that they won’t be disappointed. I have so many mouth-watering gifts to give away from my club to some lucky participants and I hope everyone would try to be a part of it,” he said.

He revealed that part of the activities on the tour would include featuring in soccer event, sight seeing, dining, amongst other activities, adding that all proceeds would go to the less privileged.

Ighalo said that tourism in the country was abysmally poor, saying that interacting with foreigners would show that Nigeria was full of wonderful people and a good place to visit.

“The second leg of the tour would involve bringing some foreigners to the country to experience the rich culture and history of Nigeria and I am positive that it would be a huge success”

The creative director, Adesanmi, has called on government to ensure economic stability and enact policies that will boost the sector, lamenting that Nigeria has failed over the years to maximize its tourism potentials, which would have boosted the economy and provid employment for thousands of people.
